The Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Hong Kong and Macau SAR would like to invite you to participate in one of the major events of the 2019 Argentina Festival - a Tango Seminar followed by a Concert in Hong Kong from the 4th to 8th of November 2019, aiming to further develop local music performances of authentic Argentine tango in Asia.

5-day intensive programme from Nov 4 to Nov 8

  • Review of everything learned in the 1st HK Tango Seminar, with Quejas de bandoneon as a point of reference (new students will be provided with parts to study in advance)

  • Learn about the development, progressive writing and orchestration of Tango music, based on 9 de Julio. Students ar encouraged to write their own arrangement simultaneously with the teachers.

  • Enrolled students will receive a collection of scores of solos and famous variations of selected tangos (of the instruments they play)
